Spotzer Media Group (Netherlands) - Nov 2007
Company
Founded in 2006, Spotzer is the first global ‘long tail’ advertising agency that offers turn-key multimedia video ad campaigns to local businesses around the world. Through the group’s platform, advertisers can license and then personalise a high-quality video commercial for remarkably low fees. Advertisers can also create geographically and demographically targeted media plans and purchase advertising time on television, websites and out-of-home TV networks. Existing investors in the company include Cyrte Investments, a Dutch-based asset manager, which provided a third round of financing to the company in March 2007. Spotzer will use the new capital to extend its rich media advertising services into the US market. The company recently opened offices in New York and California and plans aggressive build-out of its sales and client services capabilities. Strategic partnerships with a number of major US television, web and out-of-home TV networks are also under development. The new capital will also enable Spotzer to launch its first significant sales channel collaborations, including a pilot programme in which Spotzer’s ad creation services will be offered to local businesses through sales teams in the European Directories group.
