ArboNed (Netherlands) - Dec 2007

Friesland Bank Investments has acquired a majority share in Arboned, formerly owned by five Dutch companies, Nationale Nederlanden, Achmea, Fortis Insurance Netherlands, Delta Lloyd Group and UWV. Management holds a minority share. The deal originated through an auction run by Kempen. ING provided the debt for the transaction.

Based in Utrecht, Arboned is one of the largest players in the Netherlands in the welfare, health and safety sector. With 1150 employees, the company generated a turnover of above €100m in 2007.
