Halder, a Dutch subsidiary of GIMV, has sold its 77.5% stake in Hebu, a Dutch hydraulic systems and components business, to Italian Manuli, also operating in the hydraulic sector. The sale had an impact of €6.6m (€0.28 per share) on GIMV’s last published equity value as of 30 September 2007. In June 2006, Halder acquired a 77.5% majority shareholding of Hebu. Headquartered in Milan, Manuli has developed and produced hydraulic hoses and fittings since 1935.

Company

Founded in 1940, Hebu is a Dutch distributor of hoses, pipes and accessories, and in advice and service delivery in the hydraulic sector. The company operates in two markets: OEM (equipment manufacturers and service, mainly repair and replacement) and services activities, for which Hebu has a network of outlets each with its own workshop and warehouse. With 115 employees, it generated a turnover of €25m in 2007. Hebu was already the main distributor of Manuli’s product on the Dutch market.
