Mid Europa hires Beyens as operating partner
CEE-focused private equity firm Mid Europa Partners has appointed Alain Beyens as operating partner.
Beyens also holds the positions of chair and non-executive director at Antwerp Management School, Duvel Moortgat, A2 Consulting, Vermec and ViaBuild. Prior to joining Mid Europa, Beyens served as CEO of Pelican Rogue Group and before that as CEO of StarBev. He also holds experience from Anheuser-Busch InBev.
The appointment follows the listing of Mid Europa's portfolio company Waberer's on the Budapest stock exchange and the exit from Hungarian fixed-line telecoms provider Invitel in January 2017. This is the first expansion of Mid Europa's investment team since the promotions of Robert Knorr and Matthew Strassberg in July 2016.
