
Innova nears €200m first close on sixth fund
Eastern-Europe-focused private equity house Innova Capital is close to holding a first close for its sixth buyout fund, unquote” has learned.
The fund has attracted €200m from investors so far. It will mirror the Innova 5 fund in terms of investment strategy, targeting companies based in eastern Europe, unquote" understands. The GP invests in the business services, financial services, telecoms, healthcare and industrial sectors.
The private equity house held a final closing on $388m for its Innova 5 fund in November 2009. It was launched with a target of $325m.
Currently, Innova manages two other vehicles: the €112m Innova 3 raised in 2002, which is fully invested; and the 2006-vintage Innova 4, which raised €228m and has eight companies in its portfolio.
In May 2017, the Warsaw-based firm acquired a 75% stake in Polish seating manufacturer Profim via Innova 5.
