MCI launches tender offer to wholly own MCI Capital fund
MCI Management is launching a tender offer for an additional 35.93% stake in Polish technology fund MCI Capital, at PLN 9.80 per share.
The announcement was made by Polish broker Trigon Dom Maklerski in a stock exchange note on 12 June. Warsaw-based MCI, a CEE-focused private equity group, has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since February 2001.
The tender offer is for 19,003,988 MCI Capital shares, in a bid to wholly acquire MCI Capital. Currently, MCI Management, together with Polish businessman Tomasz Czechowicz, owns the other 64.07% of MCI Capital. Czechowicz does not intend to buy shares in the tender offer, according to the announcement.
The subscription period is expected to run from 3 July to 2 August.
According to Polish daily Puls Biznesu, the move could mean a first step towards de-listing MCI Management from the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
