Genesis targets close and launch in 2019
Czech PE firm Genesis Capital expects to hold a close for its growth fund early in 2019, before launching its fourth flagship vehicle at the end of the year, Unquote understands.
Genesis Growth Equity Fund I was launched in May 2018 with a €40m target. It is understood that the GP anticipates hitting this target across two closes in 2019.
The vehicle will focus on smaller companies with revenues of up to €15m and EBITDA of up to €2m in the Czech and Slovak markets.
The GP's flagship buyout fund, Genesis Private Equity III, is at an advanced stage of deployment after holding a final close on €82m in September 2016.
Genesis expects to launch Genesis Private Equity Fund IV with a target of €100-120m by the end of 2019 and hold a close by 2021.
