Czech incubator launches €30m fund
Czech startup incubator Up21 has launched its first institutional vehicle, Start21, with a target of €30m.
The new fund has been set up to invest at the series-A stage in B2B technology companies across Europe. It plans to invest €3-5m with co-investors.
These will be separate to the 17 companies that UP21 has backed already through its incubator programme.
However, three existing UP21 companies are currently looking for series-A stage funding, according to Unquote sister publication Mergermarket. Shipvio is an online logistics broker seeking a €4m series-A, Sens Food is a Czech cricket-flour-based food retailer raising more than €4m and Spaceflow is a Czech property technology company planning a €3.5m round.
