
CMS hires five in Polish transactions team
CMS has hired a team of five from Clifford Chance to its Poland-based transactions practice, all of whom will focus on M&A deals and advisory mandates for private equity firms, bringing the team to 26 lawyers.
Sławomir Czerwiński will join the team as a partner and plans to focus on the development of the firm’s relationships with private equity firms, according to a statement. He has previous experience in advising on transactions in the healthcare, financial services and infrastructure sectors. He joins from Clifford Chance and also has previous exeriece at Baker McKenzie.
Mateusz Stępień also joins CMS as a partner, having worked at Clifford Chance since 2008. He has previous experience in advising sponsors on cross-border M&A, restructuring and joint ventures.
Counsel Jarosław Gajda has prior experience in advising corporates on transitional mandates in areas including financial services, medical services, food and oil and gas. He joined Clifford Chance in 2007 and also has experience in advising sponsors on corporate and contractual topics.
Senior associate Antoni Wandzilak has experience in advising corporates on transactions in the logistics and healthcare sectors, as well as assisting sponsors with M&A and restructuring. He joined Clifford Chance in 2014.
Associate Dominika Pietkun also focuses on M&A and corporate restructuring, with additional expertise in the fields of healthcare and retail, having joined Clifford Chance in 2018.
