Mid Europa invests in Czech Energy 21
Mid Europa Partners has signed an agreement to purchase a stake in Czech solar power operator, Energy 21, for an undisclosed amount. The deal is subject to regulatory clearance.
The Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) focused private equity investor is also in discussions with a number of banks, seeking a project facility to support the deal.
Energy 21 is a developer and operator of solar power (photovoltaic) parks in the CEE region. The company has an installed generation capacity of 26 megawatts, and is working on developing a further 75 megawatts. Energy 21 is also in the process of expanding its local market presence and plans to expand into broader CEE markets.
Stefan Tzvetkov and Robert Chmelar worked on the deal for Mid Europa.
