Law firm Edwards Wildman Palmer opens in Istanbul
Private equity-focused law firm Edwards Wildman Palmer (EWP) is set to open an office in Istanbul, covering the CEE and MENA regions in addition to the Turkish market.
EWP will operate in an exclusive partnership with Ismen, a local boutique M&A and private equity law firm. Founded in 2004 and with a 12-strong team of lawyers, Ismen focuses on M&A transactions as well as complementary practice areas, such as corporate and commercial services, finance, real estate and capital markets, as well as technology, media, telecommunications (TMT) and competition law.
"Istanbul has become a hub for sophisticated M&A and private equity activity as multinational companies and private equity firms are attracted to the increasingly active CEE/MENA region," EWP partner Ted Cominos said in a statement.
EWP provides a range of cross-border advisory services, including M&A, capital markets, debt financings, restructurings, intellectual property creation and commercialisation, as well as joint ventures. The firm operates 15 offices across three continents and employs more than 600 lawyers.
