Founder of CEE GP Penta steps down
Martin Kúšik, the co-founder of central European investment group Penta Investments Group, will end his operational involvement in the firm he set up in 1994.
Kúšik, partner and co-founder of Penta, will step down as an active partner in the firm, though he will remain a limited partner. His role will be taken over by Penta partner Marek Dospiva and investment director Thomas von Werner, who joined the firm last month from EQT.
In the last two years, Kúšik has been responsible for Penta's expansion in Germany. Von Werner is now building a team to be based in Munich.
Penta manages an evergreen private equity fund of its partners, the company's only shareholders. Penta invests in retail, healthcare, aerospace, mechanical engineering, utilities, entertainment and banking projects. Its portfolio companies provide jobs to more than 30,000 people and reported revenues of €4.4bn in 2012. Penta has offices in Prague, Bratislava, Warsaw and Munich.
