Rockaway acquires e-commerce trio from Naspers
CEE-focused VC Rockaway Capital has acquired a trio of online shopping comparison websites from listed South African investment company Naspers.
The deal sees Rockaway buy Árukereső.hu, Compari.ro and Pazaruvaj.com, which operate price comparison engines in Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria, respectively.
Rockaway's acquisitions will complement its existing portfolio of price comparison websites and expand its offering across the CEE region. The VC's price comparison portfolio includes Czech and Slovak-operating Heureka, bought in a €200m package deal with online retailer Netretail from Naspers in October 2015.
Company
Árukereső.hu, Compari.ro and Pazaruvaj.com are price comparison websites focused on the CEE region.
Founded in 2004, Hungary's Árukereso is a price comparison and shopping guide site which Rockaway claimed in a statement features more than 2,400 online shops.
Compari offers similar services, focused on the Romanian market, as Pazaruvaj does for the Bulgarian online commerce market.
