
Abris hits €500m target for third fund
Abris Capital Partners has held a final close after securing €500m for its CEE Mid Market Fund III, hitting its target after holding a first close on €300m in May 2016.
The GP intends to invest in medium-sized, private businesses primarily in Poland and Romania, but also elsewhere in CEE. It is currently asssessing several deals in Poland and Romania, a spokesperson told unquote".
In January 2013, Abris held a final close on €450m for its second vehicle to make investments in mid-market buyouts in central and eastern Europe.
The central European later-stage specialist focuses on the acquisition of majority ownership positions in profitable privately owned businesses in the CEE region. It operates from bases in Warsaw and Bucharest.
Investments
Abris tapped its third fund in December 2016, when it acquired a majority stake in Serbian TV and broadband service provider Kopernikus Technology.
Kopernikus was the new fund's second transaction, following the investment in Polish fish processing business Graal in November 2016.
