
Tar Heel acquires Aludesign
Private equity firm Tar Heel Capital has acquired Aludesign, a Poland-based company that designs and constructs moulds and manufactures pressure die cast aluminium elements.
Tar Heel wholly acquired Aludesign at the end of September. The new capital will be invested in the company's machinery park, in addition to implementing its growth strategy through potential acquisitions.
The deal was made via the GP's THC II fund, with the portfolio including mainly manufacturing companies. The fund held a final close on €50m in 2012.
Tar Heel-backed Flavourtec, a Polish manufacturer of vape liquid for e-cigarettes, recently acquired its German peer GermanFlavours in August.

Based in Olesno, Poland, and founded in 2000, Aludesign is a maker of aluminium elements mainly used for the production of office furniture. It posted revenues of PLN 53.7m in 2017 and has a staff of 120.
