Abris Capital has carved out Polish car seat manufacturer CADM Automotive from Polish listed automotive supplier Groclin for PLN 42.5m.
The GP drew capital from Abris CEE Mid Market Fund III to finance the transaction. The vehicle held a final close on €500m in September 2017 and was 20% invested by March 2018, according to Unquote Data.
Abris plans to use CADM as a platform for market consolidation, as well as entry into new segments like embedded software development.
Groclin planned to use the proceeds from the sale of its car seat manufacturing business to repay debt and look at acquisitions in its core markets of car part engineering and design, according to Unquote sister publication Mergermarket.
