Mid Europa sells Bambi to Coca Cola for €260m
Mid Europa Partners has sold Yugoslavian biscuit producer Bambi to Coca Cola subsidiary Coca Cola HBC.
Bambi was the GP's first divestment from Mid Europa IV, which closed on €880m in 2014.
The GP said it focused on Bambi’s strength in the biscuit category by disposing of its chocolate division and investing in biscuits.
Previous funding
Mid Europa acquired Bambi as part of the Danube Food Group for an enterprise value of €600m in 2015. Among its other subsidiaries were dairies Imlek and Mlekara Subotica, and Knjaz Miloš, a Serbian producer of mineral water and other non-alcoholic beverages.
Company
Bambi is headquartered in Belgrade and supplies biscuits across the CEE region. It makes a range of biscuits with a focus on wellness and health. The company generated revenues of €80m in 2018.
