Innova buys Drukarnia Embe Press
Innova Capital has acquired Polish food labels and packaging business Drukarnia Embe Press alongside management.
Innova will hold an 80% stake in the business while the founders Sławomir Bezdek and Marian Mamczarz will remain minority shareholders.
It is the third transaction completed from Innova/6, a CEE-focused buyout vehicle that held a final close on €194m in April 2018.
The deal is only the second private-equity-backed buyout completed in Poland in 2019, and the third in the CEE region as a whole, according to Unquote Data.
Innova plans to consolidate the flexible packaging market in Poland and centre Europe, and said in a statement it is in advanced talks with several other players.
