Apax buys Baltic Classifieds Group
Apax Partners has acquired Baltic online classified advertising platform Baltic Classifieds Group from Media Investments & Holding OÜ.
The deal value was not disclosed, but Estonian newspaper Postimees reported in March that the vendor was looking for a valuation of €140-160m.
Apax closed its ninth fund on its $9bn hard-cap in December and is expected to raise up to $10bn for Apax X this year.
It is the first deal Apax has made in the Baltic region and only the second in the CEE region as a whole, according to Unquote Data.
The GP said it was confident in the growth prospects of the region and impressed with its business friendliness, pragmatism and entrepreneurial culture.
