Abris exits Patent Co to trade
Abris Capital Partners has sold Serbia-headquartered animal feed and feed supplements producer Patent Co to Raiffeisen Ware Austria (RWA).
RWA is the wholesale company and service provider of the Lagerhaus cooperatives in Austria, which focus on agricultural products and machinery, energy, building materials, and home and garden supplies.
Abris acquired Patent Co in September 2015, investing via Abris CEE Mid-Market Fund II. The vehicle held a final close in January 2013 on EUR 450m and makes investments in mid-market businesses based in central and eastern Europe.
The fund's other remaining assets include paperboard packaging producer Graf-Poz, which the GP acquired in 2015, according to Unquote Data.
Abris said in a statement that Patent Co's international sales tripled and its EBITDA grew at a rate of more than 20% compound annual growth during the investment period. The company originally operated in 10 markets and expanded to 43 international markets during the same period.
According to the same statement, Abris also supported the company with the development of its ESG standards, including via the introduction of best practices in corporate governance and HR.
