Innova acquires Slovenian construction company Trimo
Polish private equity firm Innova Capital has acquired Slovenian construction company Trimo Group in a buyout from a group of Slovenian banks, including Nova Ljubljanska Banka.
Innova will buy 97.45% of the total shares in group subsidiary Trimo and 44.9% of Trimo MSS, while also taking on all outstanding debt held by the selling group of 10 banks and other credit institutions. Local media reports put the purchase price of Trimo in excess of €50m.
The deal for Trimo comes nearly a year after the company finalised a debt restructuring agreement with its banks, enabling it to repay the principals of its loans until the end of 2017, under a so-called Master Restructuring Agreement.
The transaction is expected to complete in the first quarter of 2016.
