Having reached retirement age, Professor Dieter Feddersen (68), chairman of the supervisory board of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, has announced his resignation. He will leave his office concurrently with the conclusion of the company's annual meeting on March 18, 2004. Professor Feddersen has served on this private equity firm's supervisory board for six years. The supervisory board had elected Professor Feddersen, an attorney and retired partner of White & Case, as its chairman following his initial election by the company's shareholders at the annual meeting on March 18, 1998. Also, the supervisory board has recommended the election of Andrew Richards to the supervisory board. Richards was the managing director of 3i Deutschland Gesellschaft für Industriebeteiligungen mbH until April 2002; He has more than 20 years of experience in private equity and currently acts as a consultant.
