
CAM Private Equity
A trio of new staff has been appointed to the investment and business development teams at Cologne-based fund-of-funds manager CAM Private Equity. Nicolas von der Schulenburg joined CAM Private Equity as investment director. Prior to CAM, Schulenburg gained five years of direct investment experience at 3i, where he focused on investments in technology companies out of the Düsseldorf office. Previously, he for Arthur D Little in the US, he gained his BA and MBA degrees at Yale University. Peter Schwanitz joins from private bank and asset manager Sal Oppenheim, following the agreement signed towards the end of last year to merge its private equity fund investment activities with those of CAM. The deal saw Sal Oppenheim take a 15% shareholding in CAM. At Sal Oppenheim, Schwanitz was responsible for building up the private equity fund of funds portfolio, which is now being managed by CAM. As an investment director, he will be responsible for due diligence and investment monitoring of certain fund investments as well as business development. Kay Roesener has also joined to take responsibility for information and process management. Roesener has had prior experience in IT and business processes at a range of companies in the industrial and services sectors.
