Financial results: Deutsche Beteiliungs AG, New Energies Invest AG

Deutsche Beteiligungs AG has announced its financial results for the first nine months 2002. The holding made losses of ^12.8m after tax; the activities of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, without the assets of DBG Auslands-Holding GmbH, made losses of EUR 1.3m after tax. The firm points to the limited exit possibilities as one of the main reasons for the results; in addition value adjustments had to be made to a number of portfolio companies. The company revised down its profit expectation for its financial year 2001/2002, ending 31 October 2002.

New Energies Invest AG has reported that its net asset value (NAV) fell to SFr 184.65 (EUR 126.11) during the second quarter of 2002, that is 1.3% over the quarter and 1.9% over the year 2002 to the end of June. Total assets were SFr 49.85m (EUR 34.05m) of which 64.8% or SFr 32.29m (EUR 22.05m) were invested.
