ERGO Versicherungsgruppe has sold the Düsseldorf-based private equity company ERGO Equity Partner AG to AVIDA Group GmbH, a company held by a group of international investors. The new company will do its business under the name AVIDA Equity Partners GmbH; all future activities of the new private equity group of companies will be marketed under the name AVIDA Group. For over four years now, ERGO Equity Partner AG (EEP) has been advising and assisting institutional investors, as well as controlling fund and management companies in the private equity capital investment segment. The new AVIDA Group primarily comprises AVIDA Equity Partners GmbH, plus six private equity funds with a subscription volume of over E400. The bulk of the funds assets originate from institutional investors outside the ERGO Group. ERGO will continue its existing fund investments with AVIDA Group. According to AVIVA Group statements, the successful business model of the former EEP will be continued.
