Candover opens up in Düsseldorf
Dr Kurt Kinzius has joined the European buyout firm as director to establish a German office located in Düsseldorf. He was previously chairman of German application service provider Einsteinet, but left in May 2001. Before that he spent 12 years with the Mannesman where reached the position of director with responsibilities in corporate development and M&A; he was heavily involved in the take over of Mannesman by Vodafone. At Candover he will work closely with investment director Jens Tonn. Candover, which completed the buyout of Swissport earlier this year (March 2002, page 28) is one of the last UK buyout firms targeting German-speaking Europe to open an office in the region.
