EQT Partners has announced that Marcus Brennecke, who joined the firm as a partner in the Stockholm office in January 2005, will take over the role as office head in the Munich office, and head of the German business as of 1 September 2005. Björn Höi Jensen, who has headed up the German operation for the last two years, will remain in the Munich office acting as a sparring partner to the Munich team around Brennecke, continue making deals, and will sit on the board of German portfolio companies. Brennecke was most recently managing partner of the Schoeller Metternich Brennecke Group. Before that, he spent seven years in various management positions at Axel Springer Verlag AG. Hans Moock, former partner at EQT Partners in Munich, will be leaving EQT at the end of June.
