Martin Strobel new operating partner at Advent
Martin Strobel, the former CEO of Swiss insurance company Baloise, has joined Advent International’s operating partner programme.
Strobel stepped down from his post at Baloise at the end of April. He became the group's CEO in 2009 and was a member of the corporate executive committee with responsibility for the corporate division in Switzerland from 2003-2008.
Besides his appointment at Advent, Strobel also joined the advisory board of Basel-based direct lender Remaco this month. In March, British insurer RSA announced Strobel as a non-executive member of its board.
Advent's operating partner programme includes around 70 senior industry executives from specific sectors who act as independent consultants to Advent and its portfolio companies. In November 2015, former fitness first CEO Andrew Cosslett joined the programme.
