Akina promotes four to partner
Swiss private equity firm Akina has promoted four senior staff to partner, Natalia Sigrist, Christian Böhler, Francesco Aldorisio and Viktor Speckinger.
Sigrist (pictured above) is responsible for advising on fund investments in the central and eastern European region. Sigrist joined Akina in 2006 from Swiss bank Banca del Gottardo (now BSI), where she was looking after business strategy for the CEE region. Prior to that, she was at PwC in Moscow as a tax and legal consultant.
Before joining Akina in 2005, Böhler worked at SCM Strategic Capital Management, a Switzerland-based private equity adviser, where he was responsible for the sourcing and execution of private equity and real estate fund investments in the US, Europe and Asia. Before SCM, Böhler worked for four years at PwC as an engagement manager on audits as well as financial advisory and consulting projects, mainly in the financial services industry.
Aldorisio is now the partner in charge of direct investment activity. Prior to joining Akina in 2007, he worked in the corporate M&A team of ABB in Zurich, where he managed the acquisition pipeline of the automation products division.
Speckinger oversees advisory on direct investments in Europe, as well as fund investments in Spain, Portugal and France. Before joining Akina in 2005, Speckinger worked at ABB Corporate Finance, where he was involved in several refinancing programmes. Earlier, he worked for ABB Financial Services.
Akina is currently fundraising for the sixth generation of its Euro Choice fund, which held a third close at €180m in November 2015. Its co-investment vehicle reached its €50m first close in January this year.
