AlixPartners hires new managing director Brunke

New York-headquartered advisory firm AlixPartners has appointed Bernd Brunke as a managing director in its Munich-based team.
Brunke joined AlixPartners from BMP Holding, where he was the chair of the board. Prior to that, he was a senior vice-president at HypoVereinsbank, the German branch of the Italy-based lender Unicredit.
Prior to working for Unicredit, Brunke started his career at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, where he worked for 18 years. Initially he was a project manager and consultant and was subsequently promoted to partner in 2001. More recently, he became a member of the global executive committee in 2010.
AlixPartners opened its first German office in 2003 and currently has offices in Munich and Düsseldorf. More recently, the US firm bolstered its financial advisory services team in London with the addition of Kathryn Britten as a managing director. Former chairperson at KPMG Forensic UK and partner in KPMG's dispute advisory team, Britten will focus on forensic accounting and investigation at AlixPartners.
