RWE Generation backs HTGF III
German energy company RWE Generation has announced a seven-digit commitment to High-Tech Gründerfonds' €310m fund HTGF III.
RWE said that the investment is strategic and it will provide input to investor committees, as well as scouting for further collaborations and co-investment opportunities.
HTGF recently announced it has raised the target for its latest vehicle to €310m and tweaked its investment terms. It held a first close on €245m in May.
RWE Generation employs 16,000 people and generated a €3.23bn adjusted EBITDA from €23.3bn in revenues in the first six months of 2017.
