Point Nine hires Playfair's Benaich
Point Nine Capital has hired Nathan Benaich from London-based seed fund Playfair Capital as a venture partner.
Benaich will be responsible for making and managing investments, particularly those that make use of AI technology, including overseeing Candis, Infakt, Remerge and Calldesk from Point Nine's current portfolio.
The VC said that Benaich's tenure is likely to be temporary as he is in the process of building a new VC firm that focuses on data-driven companies; however, Point Nine stated it hopes Benaich will stay on.
At Playfair, Benaich oversaw seed investments in data-driven companies such as Mapillary, Ravelin, Numerai and Thought Machine.
He will be the third venture partner at Point Nine, alongside Janis Zech and Kolja Hebenstreit.
