Aurelius Equity Opportunities has expanded its executive board with the addition of Steffen Schiefer and Fritz Seeman.
The investment company said 2017 was the most successful year in its history, and it is preparing for further growth by adding extra executive capacity.
Schiefer joined Aurelius in 2008 as director of finance and was promoted to CFO in 2012. Prior to joining, he was responsible for group accounting at ProSiebenSat.1 and supported the company through its IPO.
Seeman will reinforce executive management in the area of operations. He will be jointly responsible for portfolio companies alongside chairman Dirk Markus and Gert Pukert. He has worked for Aurelius since 2009 and was responsible for the successful realignment of Secop for the firm's second largest exit.
Aurelius is a Munich-based privately held investment company, specialising in turnaround situations. It sold its private tutoring business Studienkreis to IK Investment Partners last week for an 11.6x money multiple.
