Iris hires Capnamic principal to expand Berlin team
Iris Capital has begun the expansion of its Berlin-based investment team with the hiring of Capnamic Ventures principal Thorben Rothe.
The Berlin office is led by managing partner Erkan Kilicaslan, and the expansion will continue with further appointments in the coming months.
The VC firm recently took part in the €21m funding round for Berlin-based ReBuy, an online trading platform for secondhand consumer goods. It plans to step up its investment activity in the region.
Prior to joining Iris, Rothe was principal at Capnamic where he was responsible for portfolio management and oversaw the opening of Capnamic's Berlin office. Rothe previously worked for corporate venturing arm DuMont Venture.
