Baird hires Societe Generale's Meyer
Investment bank Baird has hired Societe Generale's head of financial sponsors coverage for Germany and Austria, Oliver Meyer, as managing director in its Frankfurt office.
Meyer will be responsible for continuing to grow Baird's investment banking business in the DACH region and will work with senior bankers across the global platform.
Prior to joining Baird, Meyer was head of financial sponsors coverage for Germany and Austria at Societe Generale, where he worked closely with PE funds, family offices and other financial sponsors. He previously spent 10 years at Rothschild, and also has experience at Close Brothers Group where he worked in M&A.
It is the second hire Baird has made in the DACH region in recent weeks after the appointment of Goldman Sachs' Ralph von Seltzam as managing director.
