Golding announces nine promotions
German fund-of-funds manager Golding Capital Partners has announced nine promotions to its senior management team after raising a record €1.3bn in 2017.
Matthias Reicherter has been promoted from partner to the newly created role of chief investment officer, and its head of structuring, Manuel Gruber, has been made partner.
Dirk Homberg, Christian Schnabel and Christian Harz have been promoted to managing directors in the areas of institutional sales, finance and operations and fund administration, respectively.
Fabien Pötter and Bernd Schumacher have also been promoted to managing director and co-heads of infrastructure, while in the New York office Jakob Schramm is promoted to managing director and head of US, and Erik Swimmer to vice-chair of US.
The promotions follow the hiring of Abhik Das from direct lender BlueBay as head of private debt, responsible for selecting primary, secondary and co-investment opportunities.
Golding held a first close on €331m for its private debt fund, Golding Private Debt 2016, in April 2017. It is also preparing to come back to market with its private equity fund-of-funds strategy, Golding Buyout 2018, after holding a final close on €364m for its predecessor Golding Buyout 2015. Golding Infrastructure 2018 has also launched with a €750m target.
