Nord Holding hires Bösenberg
German investment company Nord Holding has announced the appointment of former Quadriga Capital partner Andreas Bösenberg as head of direct investment.
Bösenberg will be responsible for sourcing and executing investments in high-growth family businesses in the DACH region. Nord Holding generally targets companies in the business services and technology segments with EBITDA between €4-15m, and provides up to €50m of equity per transaction.
Prior to joining Nord Holding, Bösenberg was a senior partner at German mid-cap buyout firm Quadriga Capital, where he was responsible for deal sourcing in the German consumer sector. He joined Quadriga in August 2017, after leaving Sun European in June. His departure coincided with the closure of the GP's Frankfurt office.
Bösenberg joined Sun in 2015, enabling the GP to open its first German office. Prior to that, he worked as deputy head at VTB Capital Private Equity, where he was responsible for a portfolio of consumer-related businesses. He also co-founded Brockhaus Private Equity and became managing partner, after starting his career at the Frankfurt office of 3i.
Nord Holding has more than €1.5bn in assets under management and runs a fund-of-funds programme alongside its direct investment operations.
