Schroder Adveq reshuffles management following CEO departure
Schroder Adveq CEO Reto Schwager is leaving the firm, shortly after starting in his role in January.
Schwager left to pursue opportunities outside of the firm, according to a statement by Schroders. His responsibilities will be taken over by the existing Schroder Adveq team, while Rainer Ender has been appointed as head of private equity for Schroders. Ender has worked for Schroder Adveq since 2001 and will continue to lead the investment team.
Head of investor relations Farah Buckley has also left the firm along with alternatives director Silke Wood, Unquote has learned.
Three other senior level executives from the London office have also departed, according to a source close to the situation. The source added that although the merger had been a positive experience, some uncertainty remained around incentivisation under the new structure, which led to the departures.
Schroders acquired Adveq in April last year and Schwager was appointed as new CEO in October, after Sven Lidén left and later joined secondaries investor Montana Capital Partners. Schwager started in his role in January.
