DLA Piper hires Baker McKenzie's Schumann
DLA Piper has appointed Baker McKenzie's Gerald Schumann as a partner in its corporate practice based in Munich.
Schumann will be responsible for advising private equity and corporate clients on M&A transactions, including public and private mergers, acquisitions and VC funding rounds.
Prior to joining DLA, Schumann worked for Baker McKenzie for 10 years as partner, and prior to that was principal associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
DLA said the hire would strengthen its capabilities in Germany, especially Munich, and expand its private equity service offering.
