
Oddo BHF hires Kartesia's Geiger as head of private debt
Franco-German asset manager Oddo BHF Asset Management has hired Markus Geiger, former head of DACH at private debt fund Kartesia Advisor, to help launch its own private debt platform.
Geiger will lead a specialist deal team that invests in private debt instruments and advises the asset manager's institutional clients on their private debt investments.
Oddo's first offering in the asset class will focus on senior secured debt funds investing in the German mid-market.
Prior to joining Oddo, Geiger was head of DACH at Kartesia in Frankfurt for four years. Before that he was partner at lower-mid-market buyout firm Steadfast Capital Partners.
Oddo BHF Asset Management is the asset management arm of the private bank Oddo BHF, with €61.6bn in assets under management. It invests in a range of strategies including public equities, fixed income and private equity.
