Syz Group launches private market arm
Switzerland-headquartered bank Syz Group has launched Syz Capital, a private markets arm targeting private equity, alternative debt and real estate.
The new division will target thematic funds and co-investment vehicles, in addition to providing advisory services related to private market financing options and capital structuring.
The new division will consist of two teams; one that will manage a multi-manager fund and another that will focus on buy-and-build co-investment and direct investment opportunities.
Founded by 1996 by Eric Syz, Alfredo Piacentini and Paolo Luban, and headquartered in Geneva, Syz Group currently has approximately CHF 40bn in assets under management. The group also comprises the high-level private banking, institutional asset management and independent manager divisions.
