Freitag promotes Prüfer to managing partner
Boutique investment bank Freitag & Co has promoted Alexander Prüfer to the executive board as managing partner.
Prüfer's appointment was effective on 1 February 2019. He has been with the bank for eight years and has worked across its three consulting areas: M&A, debt advisory and financial restructuring, and capital markets and corporate control.
Prüfer has worked on transactions including Rexnord's acquisition of Centa Power Transmission, the manufacturer of couplings and drive shafts, the merger of copper processors MKM and KME and KJK's acquisition of Slovenian sports goods maker Elan. He also led the restructuring of Solarwatt and AEG Power Solutions.
Before joining Freitag, Prüfer spent a short time in corporate finance and M&A at Macquarie and had a brief stint at HBA-Consulting.
