Silverfleet appoints Quadriga's Sommer in Munich

Generalist buyout firm Silverfleet Capital has hired Ricardo Sommer to join its lower-mid-market investment team as a principal in the firm’s Munich office.
Sommer is responsible for Silverfleet’s lower-mid-market activities in the DACH region, targeting businesses with enterprise values between €25-75m. The firm is currently fundraising for its Silverfleet European Development Fund, which held its first close on €110m in August 2018.
Sommer also supports Silverfleet’s lower-mid-market activities in other regions. He will report to the team's co-heads Alex Brebbia and David MacKenzie.
Sommer joined Silverfleet from Quadriga Capital, where he was a director for buyout investments in the DACH region in the industrials and business services sectors. Previously he was an investment manager at Syntegra Capital and a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group with a focus on private equity and industrial goods.
The current buyout team at Silverfleet has realised 21 smaller buyout deals that generated a 2.8x gross money multiple. Silverfleet is currently deploying from its debut lower-mid-market fund Silverfleet European Development Fund as well as its flagship Silverfleet Capital Partners II fund, which held its final close on €850m.
