
Kartesia hires Mirante to expand in DACH region
Debt provider Kartesia has hired Giuseppe Mirante as head of credit opportunities for the DACH region.
Mirante will be responsible for the origination, analysis and execution of credit opportunities in the region. He will start in the Frankfurt office and will open an office in Munich later this year.
Mirante joins from his position as managing director at HIG Bayside, the credit arm of HIG Capital. Previously he acted as head of distressed and loan research at BNP Paribas in London. Prior to that, he worked in private equity at Morgan Stanley and Rhône Capital, and in corporate finance at Citibank and Goldman Sachs.
Kartesia has raised four funds since its inception. Its most recent fund, Kartesia Credit Opportunities IV, closed on €870m in 2017. It has been lending in the DACH region since 2011 and has a target to lend 10-15% of its funds in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
