Kartesia expands DACH presence via new Munich office
Debt fund manager Kartesia has unveiled a new office in Munich.
The firm is seeking new credit opportunities via SMEs and the lower-mid-market in the region, building on its previously established presence in Frankfurt.
The firm's Munich expansion incorporates new hire Giuseppe Mirante, previously of HIG Capital. The team will also include Thomas Pöhler, along with four additional hires in the region.
The group's DACH expansion builds on its experience in France and Spain, as well as in Belgium and Latvia.
Recent activity via the firm's fourth fund, Kartesia Credit Opportunities IV, includes the buyout of Latvia-based glass and acrylic coating manufacturer Groglass in May 2018 for €50m. The fund closed in October 2017 on €870m.
