
Bain & Company appoints new DACH head of PE

Bain & Company has appointed Alexander Schmitz as the new head of its private equity practice group in the DACH region.
Schmitz will take over from Rolf-Magnus Weddigen on 1 April 2020; Weddigen has held the position since 1999.
In his new role, Schmitz will continue to advise private equity firms and their portfolio companies, including assisting them with deal sourcing and closing.
Schmitz was previously a managing partner at Bain, having joined the firm in 2003.
