
Silver Investment Partners appoints two partners
Silver Investment Partners has promoted Matthias Loos to partner and Daniel Schmitz to non-executive partner, expanding its partner team to five.
Prior to joining SIP, Matthias Loos was managing director at Bitburger, where he managed the company's investment activities and portfolio. He was previously M&A partner at PwC from 2014 to 2017, and managing director and head of private equity at Lazard from 2008 to 2014. Prior to this, Loos also held positions in the investment teams of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG and Norwind Capital.
Daniel Schmitz was previously a partner at CVC Capital Partners and a managing director at Goldman Sachs. He has experience in the healthcare sector and is the managing partner and founder of Delta Dialyse Partner. Schmitz was also managing partner at the Wichtel Akademie in Munich until 2018.
Silver Investment Partners invests in DACH-based SMEs. The GP generally takes minority or majority stakes in companies with revenues of €5-100m, focusing in particular on companies with sales of €10-50m. The GP's sector focus includes business services, industrials, consumer, software and healthcare. The firm also invests as part of succession solutions and spin-outs.
