Gyrus Capital hires two
Recently-launched GP Gyrus Capital has added Anna Mattsson Samanta and Patrick Vink to its operating and advisory partnership.
Anna Mattsson Samanta was formerly head of Deloitte's carve-out support team in Switzerland and head of life sciences M&A. She specialises in pharma and sustainability, and led the Deloitte team on the carve-out of DuPont Sustainable Solutions by Gyrus in 2019. She is also on the board of Advance, promoting gender equality in business.
Dr Patrick Vink has more than 30 years of experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. He was previously COO at Cubist Pharmaceuticals, and before that head of the global hospital business at Mylan, head of global biopharmaceuticals at Sandoz, and has held senior positions at Biogen, Sanofi-Synthelabo and Numico.
Gyrus was launched in early 2019 by former Argos Wityu partner Guy Semmens and Robert Watson (formerly of Altaris and Hg). The firm expanded its team that year with the addition of Mirco Dilda, Alyson Greenwood and Cedric Perlet, all previously with Argos.
Gyrus announced the hire of Hannah Tobinhas earlier this year, following the acquisition of Essential Pharma. The GP now counts 16 members.
