Argos Wityu appoints head of ESG

Switzerland-based sponsor Argos Wityu has appointed Jessica Peters as head of ESG to be based in its Brussels office.
Peters will further integrate ESG aspects on both the firm and its portfolio companies, supporting and guiding investment teams, according to a press release.
All the GP’s portfolio companies have committed to compute and report on carbon footprint, and, with Peters addition, the firm hopes to strengthen significantly its ESG team.
With more than EUR 1.4bn under management and 30 years of experience, Argos Wityu is part of the first 20 investment funds committed to Science Based Targets (SBTs) and UNPRI member since 2021, according to the press release.
Peters joins the mid-market firm after gaining previous experience in several commercial roles before focusing on sustainability over the past seven years, mainly as senior manager at environmental consultancy firm Greenfish.
Argos Wityu is deploying equity via Argos Wityu Mid-Market VIII, which invests in small and mid-market buyouts involving European companies. The fund has made its first investment in Schenk Tanktransport. LPs in the fund include the European Investment Fund (EIF), among others.
