King & Spalding makes Frankfurt corporate and PE hires

Law firm King & Spalding has hired a five-person corporate and private equity team to bolster its Corporate, Finance & Investments (CFI) practice in Frankfurt.
The team will be led by Peter Memminger, who previously worked at Milbank before founding boutique law firm Memminger in 2017. The firm merged with Bub Gauweiler in 2019, forming Bub Memminger.
Memminger focuses on M&A, corporate and litigation mandates, as well as distressed M&A, restructuring, insolvency and ESG mandates. Memminger typically represents private equity firms.
The remaining team joining King & Spalding is made up of ex-Memminger lawyers, comprising one senior counsel, two counsels and one associate, according to a press release. The full team is to join King & Spalding.
King & Spalding’s Frankfurt office is headed by Axel Schilder, while the firm’s CFI practice is led by Todd Holleman.
